~”It really is pretty impressive that two guys can make that kind of sound”~
Inspired by power duos such as the White Stripes and UK’s Royal Blood, 6 Another is a rock & roll duo from San Francisco, California. Ted Boyce sings lead vocals and plays bass which (through a unique process perfected by Boyce) doubles as guitar. Dan Lieberman plays percussion and provides background vocals. On occasion, the duo will perform with a keyboard player who adds color to the already full arrangements. No loops or pre-recorded tracks are used during live performances or studio work.

TED Boyce (lead vocals, bass, and songwriter) grew up in America’s epicenter of Rock (Tom Petty, Stephen Stills, Don Felder), Gainesville Florida. While in Florida, TED played alongside of other well-known Gainesville artists such as Ken Block from Sister Hazel and Nashville’s Britton Cameron and Jack Sizemore (Jason Aldean’s band). TED’s formal musical training includes time at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music which ultimately led to a Bachelor of Music in performance at the University of Florida where he studied bass performance and became enamored with classical music composition. Live playing experience and formal training has allowed TED to tour the globe as a working musician playing jazz, rock, and popular music for many years before deciding to concentrate on his original music starting in 2002.
TED summarizes his passion for music this way: “Music was my first career. By combing my experiences as a performer and educator, I am able to create an environment in which people can be entertained , informed, and truly enjoy their listening experience. Fun, sometimes provocative, and memorable is what we’re all about. Played by request only, we use this philosophy to perform unique versions of some classic covers as well, imagine Paul Simon’s 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover reconceived of as a punk / ska song!”
